I just want to say thanks to everyone who had a part in getting this thing together. This is a terrific site! I guess I should be considered an "old timer", due to the time I served in the US Army & the US ASA.

6/57 Entered US Army, took basic traing at Ft. Gordon, Ga.
9/57 - 3/58 US ASA Tng. Center, Ft. Devens, MA. (058 School)
3/58 - 3/60 3rd US ASA Field Station, Okinawa (Sobe Camp,,,"Torrii Station"

Again, I think this setup is great. Thanks a lot. I would really like to hear from anybody who is of the same "era" and might have served with me.

We spent lots of 12 on's and 12 off's at that hanger. I remember some of them well. The chad counts! The ZVA machine. False orders sent from tape relay to the operater on duty at terminal. setting off the fire extinquisher under someone who was doing his crypto practice messages. Falling asleep on a Kleinschmidt. How'd you like to communicate with one of them nowadays?

Hello there fellow ASA-ers! I was at the 330th from July of 67 thru June of 68. 98C20 working the B-3 Front. Haggerty, Andressen, Walker, Smith, Webster were all fellow 98C's. I got some old photos somewhere that I'll get posted up here.

After the 'Nam, went to Two Rock - Kearney, Horton, William (the Spider) Paul are old friends who occasionally I get to see.

Anyone out there remember me or those names?

Mike Wallace

83d RRSOU '68-69; HHC 313th RRBn 1970.

Where's ditty-bopper Mark Wisniewski, who survived the rocket attack in August '70?

How about a Mandarin linguist, Phil Hayes RA 16 936 886, from Battle Creek, who signed up the same day I did, in Detroit?
